Community of Practice - What is Business Analysis and Why Do We Need It?
Presenters: Anne Paulson
Anne will discuss the value of business analysis, when it is most critical, and share her experience with how business analysis leads to better outcomes. She will also discuss challenges that can emerge and some simple techniques that anyone can use to apply business analysis.
Speaker bio
Anne Paulson has been a senior project leader within IST’s Departmental and Campus Applications group for three years. In this role she has built partnerships with a variety of stakeholders on campus while applying a balance of business analysis and project management. Before joining the University, Anne was a manager at a local tech company overseeing project managers, professional services, and a global support team. Anne has a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier and is a certified agile project manager. Throughout her career Anne has found that applying a business analysis lens has been the foundation for success.
