The speed and quality of decision making is critical to the success of all projects; yet achieving timely decisions can be challenging.  In this session Daryl will review some of the practical approaches and techniques that he has found helpful to facilitate and make decisions.

The discussion will include practical exercises and discussion of how to:

  • Properly define the decision that needs to be made
  • Consider the roles involved in providing input and making a decision
  • Structure the analysis of project teams surrounding a decision
  • Work with sponsors and committees to get timely decisions

Speaker bio

Daryl Dore – Director, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems

Daryl is the Director, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems within IST and is responsible for leading IST efforts on Student, Financial and HR systems. Prior to joining the University in 2015, Daryl spent most of his career at BlackBerry, leading teams in business systems, web technology, and data governance.
