Community of Practice: Project Sponsorship
Presenters: Wendy Hague and Jonathan Woodcock, Project Managers, Information Systems & Technology (IST)
Research from the Project Management Institute (PMI) shows that having actively engaged executive sponsors is the top driver of project success. At this month’s PPM Community of Practice we’ll discuss the role of a project sponsor. We’ll have at least one project sponsor on hand to share their perspective of project sponsorship at the University and also to provide insight into how a project manager can help a project sponsor be most effective.
As an attendee at this session you will be invited to share your experience and to ask questions of our panel so that we gain an improved understanding of how best to leverage this important role to contribute to the success of projects.
To ensure this presentation is tailored to meet the needs of our attendees, please send any questions you may have for the sponsor(s) to fluttert@uwaterloo.ca.
