Case conceptualization quality

Kevin Capobianco is a doctoral level student in clinical psychology working as part of the Psychological Intervention Research Team at the University of Waterloo. His current line of research will build on his master's level thesis and involves an exploration of how case conceptualizations are used in psychotherapy and their impact on treatment outcomes. He is also broadly interested in several other areas of psychotherapy research, including the working alliance and the common factors of psychotherapeutic interventions. Kevin has presented posters at several conferences and was invited to give a talk on the common factors of psychotherapy at Grand River Hospital's Freeport Site. He has also been a T.A. for the graduate level psychodiagnostics course for two years, and deeply enjoys the opportunity to teach and help new graduate students learn about this critical aspect of clinical work.

In addition to his research interests, Kevin has spearheaded a series of public talks on mental health. This reflects his passion for outreach and awareness around mental health issues. Kevin graduated from the University of Guelph after completing a BA honours program in psychology and becoming involved in several research labs over his time there. When he is not thoroughly engrossed in his work Kevin enjoys video-gaming, reading, music, and movies.
