ABOUT
This year's Psychology Discovery Conference aims to bring together the psychology community of the University of Waterloo. This includes the undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members. The psychology department is comprised of six key areas and research will be presented from each: clinical; cognitive; cognitive neuroscience; developmental; industrial-organizational; and social.
The main goal of this conference is to encourage the reciprocal sharing of research and knowledge between students. For graduate students, they will have the opportunity to present their research in either poster or talk format. For undergraduate students, they will be able to present their honours thesis research or directed study in poster format. All students are encouraged to attend and discuss their work with others, and learn about the research being conducted at the University of Waterloo.
For the wider University and Waterloo community, this is an opportunity to be exposed to the research that is being conducted by the psychology department at the University of Waterloo. Within the department, there is research being conducted across a wide spectrum of topics including (but not limited to!): language development; women in STEM; workplace attitudes; virtual reality; attention; and psychopathology. If you are interested in learning more about the current research in psychology at the University of Waterloo, this is your chance to come talk to the students that are examining these topics and get a glimpse of the most current research.
The conference will be held on the 10th of April, 2024! More details to come.
