KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr. Christine Logel

Dr. Logel is an Associate Professor of Social Development Studies at Renison University College. Her broad research interests include identity and the effects of stigma, especially as it impacts women in STEM fields, people stigmatized for their weight, and students facing structural disadvantages.
Dr. Logel earned her PhD in social psychology at University of Waterloo, followed by postdocs at University of Colorado, Stanford University, and University of Waterloo. As a co-founder and current Head of Research with the College Transition Collaborative based at Stanford University, she develops and tests psychological interventions and scalable tools that seek to foster equity, belonging, and growth in postsecondary education. She is grateful to SSHRC, the National Science Foundation, HEQCO, and the Raikes Foundation for funding her work.
