What are you doing now and how does your engineering education from Waterloo help with your life today?
I am working in the management consulting industry at AlixPartners as Vice President with specialized focus on clients in the Consumer Products industry. I design and deliver supply chain optimizations and digital transformations. Clients typically ask me about Integrated Business Planning. Thanks to my Waterloo Engineering education, I developed a strong problem-solving toolkit that is cross-functionally useful.
Why did you decide to be a part of REAC?
Give back to an institution and community that I am grateful to have been a part of.
What is a favourite piece of advice or quote that you would be interested in sharing?
If you want a box hurled into the Sun, you have to do it yourself.

I would highly recommend the book "Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World” by David Epstein.
While specialization has often taken the spotlight in training and education, I discovered through this book the power of being a generalist.
