What are you doing now and how does your engineering education from Waterloo help with your life today?
I'm building a consulting firm, NorthGuide, focused on building strong innovation ecosystems and innovation-based organizations around the world. My degree helped me really understand systems thinking - understanding how different parts of a system interact

with and influence one another within the whole. That's the case regardless of the type of system you're working on - technical, social, environmental or otherwise! This has really helped me to see the bigger picture around things I'm working on and translate learnings/ideas between sectors.

Why did you decide to be a part of REAC?
I wanted to help recent alumni stay connected to UW after graduation to maintain the sense of community we had during school.

Favourite piece of advice or quote that you would be interested in sharing?
"Success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives." – Michelle Obama

What was your favourite place to eat at in Waterloo?
Ken’s Sushi and Morty's on wing nights!

What's a skill, routine or habit that you picked up at Waterloo that you didn’t expect to use in your career?
The ability to crunch out a mountain of work right before 11:59pm... I thought those days were behind me but RFP submission deadlines have brought them right back!

What are your plans for the near future?
Travel, skiing and marathon running!

Do you have any specific professional or career goals that you are working towards?
Working to build NorthGuide into a global consulting firm - particularly growing our international business.

Do you have any fun and/or interesting media recommendations?
I'm obsessed with bingeing competition style TV shows like the Great British Baking Show and School of Chocolate. Outrageous Pumpkins is one themed around Halloween pumpkin carving and it's amazing!
