What are you doing now and how does your engineering education from Waterloo help with your life today?
I currently work in the CPG industry applying my engineering education to solve problems encountered during product development, product launches and during manufacturing operations.
Why did you decide to be a part of REAC?
My aim with being part of REAC was to give back to the Waterloo community the guidance that I got during my early years after graduation. I want to make sure that the engineering community spirit continues past the Waterloo Campus.
What is a favourite piece of advice or quote that you would be interested in sharing?
One tip that has served me well is to be open to receiving feedback. This has allowed me to become better at my roles and also ensured that I remain approachable to my peers.
What was your favourite place to eat at in Waterloo?
Mozy's Shawarma at University and King.
What's a skill, routine or habit that you picked up at Waterloo that you didn’t expect to use in your career?
The first year engineering drawing class seemed outdated with the developments in CAD, but somehow, I still do hand drawings quite often!
Do you have any fun and/or interesting media recommendations?
Currently reading Factfulness by Hans Rosling- it’s an older book but great read for data nerds.
