Rebecca is originally from Southern Ontario. She completed her B.A. Honours Psychology at Brock University and Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University before starting her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Waterloo in 2007. Rebecca successfully completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Manitoba in 2011. She is currently completing a specialized residency in Rural Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba while completing her dissertation.
Rebecca’s research focuses on how people’s ability to recognize emotions and be aware of their own emotions influences how they provide and receive support in romantic relationships. Rebecca received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council to support her graduate research.
