Request a letter from the President

Nominators and Nominees for Prestigious Awards, Honours, or Prizes may request a letter of support from the President as part of the nomination package. Before submitting the form below, please check if your award is listed on the President's pre-approved list of awards. If the requested award is not on the pre-approved list, then a justification for your request and how it qualifies as a Prestigious Award will need to be included in the form. All requests for support letters, pre-approved or not, should be made approximately 20 business days in advance of the sponsor deadline.

Please note that your request for a letter from the President may not be approved. After your form has been submitted, it will be evaluated by members of the President’s Office and a decision will be sent to the requestor at the earliest opportunity. If you are approved, then you will need to provide a complete copy of the nomination (not including referee’s letters) to Carrie Jenks in the President’s Office. Please ensure that all other required signatures have been obtained prior to receiving the final letter of support – the President should be the last signatory needed in the nomination chain.
