Akshara Withanage is a Master’s (M.Sc.) graduate (2025) from the Department of Geography and Environmental Management under the supervision of Maria Strack. Under the RISE project, Akshara’s research focused on analyzing greenhouse gas emissions from urban wetlands and stormwater ponds, contributing to Activity 6 of the project. Akshara holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Tech & Management from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka with a specialization in soil science.
