Derek Robinson is a trained physical geographer with specializations in remote sensing and carbon modelling. Derek’s research interests include land-use and land-cover change, land management and the carbon cycle. He uses agent-based modelling as an approach to integrate GIS, ecological, and human decision-making models to estimate the impacts of land-use policies on ecosystem function and provision of ecosystem services, human well-being, and sustainable livelihoods.
