Nurudeen Issifu is a Master’s (M.A.) graduate from the School of Planning. He worked with Dawn Parker on the RISE project. Nurudeen obtained his Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Development Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. His research and professional experience lie at the intersection of urbanisation and sustainable development. Nurudeen's research interests include urban planning, green infrastructure, sustainable city development, food security, agriculture, land use planning and climate change mitigation and adaptation. His work employs mixed-method approaches (quantitative and qualitative) alongside GIS analysis. His Master's research focus was on investigating the establishment of edible landscapes in new residential developments in the Waterloo region.
