Thiruni Thirimanne is a Master’s (M.Sc.) student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Bruce MacVicar. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in Civil Engineering specializing in Water Resources. Her research interests include the effects of urbanization on watershed hydrology, GIS and remote sensing technologies, and how urban water balance can be used to assess greenhouse gas and carbon sequestration impacts on developments.
