Throughout the project, we will practice a participatory knowledge co-production approach with key stakeholders and end users to ensure that the RISE Scorecard is a practical and applicable tool from which they will benefit. Our main stakeholders and end users include municipal planners, residential land developers and builders, industry organizations, not-for-profit groups, activists and residents, and homebuyers.

Stakeholders will be directly involved in the research process as we seek feedback on the input values into the Scorecard and on the Scorecard’s use and function at every stage of the residential planning process. Our hope is that this co-production approach will provide stakeholders and end users with a sense of ownership that will be critical for the Scorecard’s uptake into the residential planning process, and will create a shift towards working together to create more sustainable communities that value green infrastructure and the role they play in reducing Canada’s impact on climate change.
