Giovani is pursuing a Master of Actuarial Science (MActSc) program from University of Waterloo. She completed her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Informatics Engineering degrees in 2012 from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia. In 2013, she graduated with First Class honours from University of Nottingham UK with Master of Science degree in Numerical Techniques for Finance.

Giovani's interest in risk management began with her undergraduate thesis on interdependence of financial markets which was presented at the 5th International Symposium on Computational Science in 2012. She continued the theme with her graduate dissertation on scientific computation for risk management. Recently, she has been involved with the Risk Management Economic Sustainability and Actuarial Science Development in Indonesia (READI) project through the initiatives of Global Affairs Canada.

In addition to her academic background, Giovani has several outstanding certifications and work experiences. She is a certified Cultural Transformation Tool (CTT) Consultant and PRINCE2® Registered Practitioner. She also has Information Technology Infrastructure Library  (ITIL®) Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. In 2013, she worked as a Junior Consultant at Peoplesight International Consulting where she was involved in giving human resource management guidance and consultation for companies. She also lectured in Numerical Analysis at the Universitas Pelita Harapan and supervised several students’ thesis research.

Giovani has been developing her organizational and leadership skills since she was an undergraduate. She was the Co-founder and Vice President of Students’ Faculty Senate of Science and Mathematics in Universitas Pelita Harapan, becoming the President in the following year. She was also the President of Spiritual Growth for Students. During her study in UK, she was a Course Representative Students’ Union Education Network.

Giovani is passionate about performing art, culture and children welfare. She has volunteered for various causes to provide food, medical services, and education for children. She enjoys ballet, traditional dances and instruments. She was an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance, UK.
