Dr. Rookaya Mather is associate professor of ophthalmology at the Ivey Eye Institute, Western University in London, Ontario. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and her Fellowship in Cornea & External Disease at the Proctor Foundation in San Francisco, California. Dr. Mather joined the Ivey Eye Institute in 2003. Her subspecialty practice is in Cornea and External Disease. She enjoys seeing patients with a variety of anterior segment conditions including: corneal infections and inflammation, dry eye disease and other challenging conditions affecting the ocular surface. Dr. Mather performs cataract surgery, cornea transplants and ocular surface surgeries. Dr. Mather also spends time teaching residents and medical students and is passionate about raising awareness about ergonomics and injury prevention.
