Study Title: Sensorimotor Changes Associated with Implicit Motor Skill Learning and Explicit Instruction

Sensorimotor Control and Learning Lab (SCiLL) logo

We are looking for participants between the ages of 18-35 to take part in a study to understand how the brain autogeneously acquires explicit knowledge when learning a sensorimotor task.

Participants will be asked to attend two sessions occurring 24 to 48 hours apart. The first session will last three hours, and the second will last one hour.

During the first session you will be asked to practice a computer based tracking task while transcranial magnetic stimulation, a form of non-invasive brain stimulation, is used to elicit a finger muscle twitch. During the second session, you will perform the computer based tracking task without transcranial magnetic stimulation.

In appreciation for your time, you will receive $10/hour.
