Hi Shads! My name is Emma and I am so excited to be one of your program assistants this summer! I was a Shad program assistant last summer at Dalhousie University and I can’t wait to be part of the Shad Waterloo team this year!
I grew up in BC and attended Shad 2019 at Lakehead University. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo with a minor in Psychology and a Collaborative Design Specialization. I love learning about learning and making impactful things with other people! As part of the Knowledge Integration program, I just completed an 8 month group project where my team and I designed and built a museum exhibit about third places. I was also a teaching assistant for the past 8 months and I have lots of prior experience working with kids and youth.
In my free time I love crafting, dancing, attending group fitness classes, travelling, hiking and making memories with friends! I can’t wait to meet you all and learn about your unique interests this summer!
