Hi all! I'm partway through my Masters of Environmental Studies at UVic, where I'm writing my thesis on how gender non-conforming folks perceive and connect climate change and gender change. While writing remotely from Toronto, I'm also working part-time at a bookstore and spending my days taking care of myself and my loved ones, however that might look in the moment. I completed my undergrad in Knowledge Integration joint with Biology with a Science, Technology, and Society specialization at the University of Waterloo. This will be my fifth year at Shad (three years in-person, two years online) and I'm pumped for what's in store! I enjoy being outdoors, reading (I’m always looking for a good book), crafting, cozy video games, and moving my body in ways that feel good.

I think Shad is so cool because of the diversity of things there are to learn. Right now I’m thinking about the intersection between community care, climate change, and spirituality, but tomorrow it could be microbiology, social entrepreneurship, and art. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to discover more with the Shad 2024 participants. See you in July!
