Hey Shads! My name is Jiya, and I’m so excited to meet you all this summer! This will be my first year as a Program Assistant (PA) at Shad Waterloo, and I can’t wait to be part of such an inspiring community.
I’m currently a fourth-year Medical Sciences student at Western University, where I get to explore everything from human biology to healthcare innovation. But when I’m not buried in science, you’ll probably find me deep in a murder mystery novel, trying to crack the case before the big reveal (or binge-watching a true crime doc).
Outside of academics, I love hiking, baking, and making overly detailed grocery lists—because grocery shopping is an elite experience! I also have a soft spot for music and play both the piano and saxophone. Plus, I’m into video editing and vlogging, capturing everyday moments and turning them into creative keepsakes.
