I’m excited to be part of the Shad Waterloo team and welcome Shads to our campus! I studied Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo and specialized in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Business and Collaborative Design. Some of my interests during my studies revolved around how people make decisions, how the brain works, and how cultural identity and backgrounds influence behaviour and communication strategies. I was also very interested in leveraging design-thinking as a tool to make things better! After working in product development at a non-profit and in human-centred design for a small consulting firm in the disability sector, I’m back at Waterloo working in the department of Knowledge Integration.
Outside of work, I’m currently exploring some new hobbies, such as pottery and west coast swing dancing, and rediscovering horseback riding after a long hiatus. I’m so excited to meet you and be immersed in the Shad experience this July alongside our amazing community!
