Hey Shads! I'm Tailai, super pumped to meet all of y'all this summer. I grew up in Windsor, Ontario and had the privilege of attending SHAD 2018 at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. I recently graduated from the Computer Science and Business Administration program at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, where I picked up some interests in Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, Finance, and Business Strategy. For work, I'll be starting my full-time job as a Software Engineer soon and am very excited about applying technology to hard problems in sectors like Government, Manufacturing, and Finance.
In a past life, I used to organize hackathons (ask me about Hack the North at Waterloo!) and compete in business case competitions (which enabled me to visit places like the Netherlands and Serbia!). Some of my other passions include fitness/sports, reading biographies, poker/game theory, and ethics. I'm excited for the month ahead, see you soon :)
