Description
This project integrates the design process and the systems and structures that buildings comprise of for engendering cost-effective carbon neutral development. Through a close collaboration of mechanical, structural, and architectural design disciplines, along with construction and facilities management teams, interrelated strategies can be developed. Adapting the architecture and building systems to the local climate and determining opportunities for systems integration can substantially reduce annualized costs and the upfront investment necessary. This economic efficiency is critical to the establishment of highly energy efficient, low carbon economy that allows more low, zero and net-positive energy buildings to be realized in the near future.
