We are delighted to welcome Jiaying Liao to the Tang Nanotechnology Lab at the University of Waterloo as a visiting PhD student. Jiaying joins us from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she is currently pursuing her doctoral studies.
Her research expertise spans three cutting-edge areas:
🔹 Synthesis of MXene-based nanomaterials: developing advanced 2D materials with unique properties
🔹 Electrochemical biosensors: designing sensitive platforms for biomedical detection
🔹 Neuromorphic optoelectronics: exploring materials and devices that mimic neural systems
Her interdisciplinary background aligns perfectly with our lab's mission, and we are excited about the fresh perspectives and expertise she brings to our team.
