POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN SYNTHETIC ORGANIC CHEMISTRY: THE LABORATORY OF PROF. SCOTT TAYLOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY, UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO, (ONTARIO, CANADA) AND NORTHERN RNA INC. (CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA) IS SEEKING TO HIRE A POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW TO WORK ON A PROJECT INVOLVING THE SYNTHESIS OF NUCLEOTIDE ANALOGS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MRNA VACCINES AT NORTHERN RNA'S FACILITIES IN CALGARY. THE POSITION IS AVAILABLE STARTING JUNE OF 2024. ONLY POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS WHO COMPLETED THEIR PHD LESS THAN FIVE YEARS SINCE JUNE OF 2024 MAY APPLY. THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXCEPTIONAL SKILLS IN SYNTHETIC ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN THE SYNTHESIS AND PURIFICATION OF NUCLEOSIDES AND NUCLEOTIDES WOULD BE AN ASSET BUT NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. THE SALARY IS AT THE LEVEL OF AN NSERC POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP ($45,000/YEAR).
