UniForum at Waterloo

UniForum is a multi-year benchmarking initiative that helps participating universities understand how their administrative services are being delivered, how well, and how much the services cost.

Through a robust evidence base, it will help us:

Ultimately, insights developed from data gathered as part of the UniForum program will help Waterloo make deliberate and incremental improvements to the way we deliver administrative support to the institution.

Participating in UniForum will give us access to data from the best Universities in the world, and many from Canada. Universities in Canada that participate include Queen's University, Dalhousie University, McGill University, McMaster University, Simon Fraser University, University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, University of Calgary, University of Ottawa, University of Saskatchewan, University of Toronto and York University.

We are in the process of finalizing a contract with Uniforum. Once this is complete, we will share more information about the program and what is involved.

Who runs UniForum?

UniForum was established in 2009 by Jonathan Blakeman, a former VP of Finance and Operations at the University of New South Wales in Australia, and by Edward Curry-Hyde, a former academic and research scientist. Their company, Cubane Consulting was acquired by Nous Group, an international consulting firm, in 2021 to form NousCubane.
