Millimeter-Wave and Sub-Terahertz Innovation and Characterization (MISTIC) Hub

The only facility in Canada, MISTIC will enable component-to-system design using classical and quantum physics principles within a collaborative ecosystem that connects academic, industry, and government expertise from across disciplines under one roof.

MISTIC will be a cutting-edge test and measurement hub to drive technological innovation of MMW and sub-THz materials, devices, circuits, and systems. Housed within a 14,800 ft2 facility, MISTIC integrates multiple laboratories that provide reconfigurable testbeds and R&D platforms to cover all characterization, measurement and performance assessment needs for MMW and sub-THz systems. The modular and flexible testbeds accelerate iterative R&D, fault diagnosis and correction, supporting rapid to-market innovation.
