South-Western Ontario Research Data Centre (SWORDC)

The University of Waterloo serves as the host institution for the South-Western Ontario Research Data Centre (SWORDC), which is also supported by institutional partner Wilfrid Laurier University. SWORDC is a member of the Canadian Research Data Centres Network (CRDCN), which has grown from the initial six centres to thirty-four.

The network has three major goals: provision of access to data by researchers across the country; training of the next generation of graduate students; and fostering rapport between research output and policymakers and the public, so that the research can make a difference in the lives of Canadians.
