Approval of the Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted as distributed.
New Google Programmable Search Engine (Kevin Paxman)
- Kevin presented the new Google search engine to the group
- It was noted that meta tags will be available and more useful
- Currently there is no process on requesting certain synonyms.

Open Scholar & Custom Development (Joe Kwan)
Custom Development
- Alpha testing program in place along with useable previews of the product.
- Usage of columns please reach out to either Andrea and/or Joe.
- Broader updated will be presented in November.
Open Scholar
- No final decision has been made.
- More consultation to follow.
- If this was to go ahead we would need a budget request by February.
WCMS 3 Horizontal Navigation Project (Tom Graham)
- No update at the present time.
WCMS Training/Support update (Andrea Jennings)
Training and Support we just have a small update:
WCMS courses
- They will continue to be offered online only via LEARN (this applies to co-op students too)
- The fall term has been busy with course completions as we have had over 150 registrants of our three courses with most being for WCMS for Content Maintainers
As part of Migration prep
- we are currently in the process of hiring two co-op students for the Winter term to help assist in migration to the WCMS 3
WCMS Technical Update (Kevin Paxman)
- Focus points in this sprint include the following. The full list of sprint work is on the Web Resources site.
- Publication site issue renaming bug fix (WCMS 2)
- Scholar whitescreen when adding users bug fix (Scholar)
- Improvements to CKEditor (the “WYSIWYG” editor)
- Initial review of new menu architecture
- Starting metatags
- Starting catalogs
- “attending” BADCamp and Keeping Well at Work sessions
