Karmvir Padda

Karmvir Padda (She/Her) is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Sociology and Legal Studies department at the University of Waterloo. She completed her MA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Her research focuses on radicalization, extremists' use of the internet, right-wing extremism, research methods and methodology, and computational methods. Her research is generously supported by the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship (SSHRC CGS-D).
 

With over five years of teaching and workshop facilitation experience, Karmvir has served as both a TA and Head TA and has delivered guest lectures across various Criminology and Sociology courses. Karmvir completed CTE’s Fundamentals of University Teaching (FUT) program and is currently completing the Certificate in University Teaching (CUT) program. She is passionate about promoting inclusivity and creating a supportive learning environment for multilingual students.
