On May 9^th, Human Resources at Waterloo hosted a Lean seminar titled “Creating a Culture of Daily Continuous Improvement in Higher Education” and a Lean projects fair for employees. A Lean workshop for leaders and executives was held on May 10^th. The seminar and workshop were led by Karyn Ross, co-author of The Toyota Way to Service Excellence: Lean Transformation in Service Organizations.

More than 200 University staff attended two Lean workshops at the Waterloo Staff Conference, demonstrating growing interest across campus in learning more about Lean methodologies.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Lean panel at the 2016 Staff Conference. Over 150 individuals came to learn about Lean projects in Human Resources, Information Systems & Technology, the Library, Plant Operations, and at St. Jerome's University.
