Universities Canada just announced the 2023 IDRC International Doctoral Research Awards recipients and Navya Nair is one of the 25 recipients. Navya is also the only recipient from the University of Waterloo.
Navya is currently in South Asia conducting her doctoral field research. This award recognizes her research potential to improve the lives of people in the developing world, especially in the Global South. SEED Professors Dr. Bruce Frayne and Dr. Prateep Nayak are co-supervisors.
