Why I love my program

I love learning about the processes that govern the universe, from micro to macro. I've had incredible opportunities to study galaxies and beta decay, and figure out what areas of physics I really love, and which I don't. It's also the only one of my passions that I can see myself doing for work without growing to hate it. Physics is endlessly fascinating.

Why University of Waterloo?

When I was applying to universities, I was looking for a program that would let me figure out what I wanted to do with physics. UWaterloo allowed me to start with physics-specific courses right away, rather than declaring a major later on in the program. I've also had the opportunity to do some incredible research in simulations of ancient galaxies to prep for the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope. I wouldn't have been able to find that role or have the resume-building skills required to secure it without UWaterloo's supportive co-op program.
