Program: Optometry

Year: 4

Stream of Study: Regular

Pronouns: He/Him

Career Goal: I am to specialize in the area of Cornea & Contact Lenses and become an Owner of an Optometry Clinic one day.

How I get involved: I serve as the Ambassador for the Waterloo Eye Institute as well as do research at the Centre for Ocular Research and Education (CORE). In addition, I help out with being a teaching assistant for the clinical courses in Optometry. Aside from academics, I also enjoy taking weightlifting at CIF!

Why I love my program

I love how Optometry is able to allow you to make a significant impact on people's everyday lives by helping them with their vision. With Optometry, I am also able to combine all fields of sciences and has a bit of each of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Why University of Waterloo?

Aside from being the only English-speaking Optometry school in Canada, Waterloo is one of the best schools for science. With it's reputation for innovation and achievement, it was an easy choice to choose this place as my home for the next 4 years!
