How I get involved: I’m involved at Waterloo through athletics: I play on an intramural volleyball team, and love to attend different fitness classes like spin and yoga. I have also previously been an orientation leader, helping new students transition to university life. I love participating in UW’s Crafts for Charity events, where I get to create something and have the proceeds go to different charities.
Why I love my program
I love my program for so many reasons. I’ve been able to meet amazing friends and learn from outstanding professors, who are very passionate about what they teach. I love the amount of time I’m able to spend in the lab learning hands on (through lab courses as well as co-op), and I’m super excited for my upcoming research project in CHEM494. I also love how Waterloo offers a huge variety of Special Topics chemistry courses to choose from in upper years, and I’m able to explore more specialized interests.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because I wanted to gain real experience through the co-op opportunities here, and I knew I would receive a top quality education. I also felt like the campus itself was super welcoming, which helped me envision myself here when I was a prospective student.
