How I get involved: Science ambassador, pre-optometry club, and fitness classes!
Why I love my program
I love my program because I was someone who didn't know what I wanted to do post graduation. Originally I wanted to be a high school teacher and now I am going to try to pursue a career in optometry! Along the way I was able to look into many careers and take so many different courses to help me find out what I liked. I was also able to get required pre-requisites for teaching or optometry that also go towards my degree!
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because it was important to me to live at home during undergrad to be able to spend time with my family and save money while figuring out what I wanted to do post-grad. I also had the goal of getting into Waterloo because of its co-op program. Although I am not in a co-op program now, I had the option in case I switched majors.
