How I get involved: Aside from being a science ambassador, throughout my degree I have been involved as a TA for 1st and second year science labs, a tutor and a residence tour guide and student leader! During my free time I also enjoy going to intramurals at CIF!
Why I love my program
I love biochemistry excuse it gives me such a great balance of both subjects while allowing me to explore more on the chemistry side - or the biology side if you wanted! The first and second year give you a great scope for both subjects and classes that interwind the two, allowing you to explore different fields that you may not have in other degrees such as enzymatology and metabolism. On top of that, the program is fairly small so you get to know everyone really well - we are like a little community!
Why University of Waterloo?
I choose to come to Uwaterloo because of the amazing opportunities within the co-op program. Throughout my degree I have been fortunate enough to travel for my co-ops and well as live close to home! Waterloo has such a wife variety of employers that you have options to work locally, close to your hometown, another province or another country!
