Mission, vision and values

In spring 2023, the UWSA Board of Directors adopted a new strategic plan and mission statement. We’ll be rolling it out in the coming months.

Mission

By partnering with administration and others across the university community, UWSA cultivates a progressive work environment where staff feel safe, empowered to grow, and able to thrive.

Vision

Our vision is that the Association will be champions of equity, advocacy, and social justice for staff.

Values

Inclusion: We strive to cultivate a diverse, collaborative, safe and supportive environment where individuals feel that they belong, are respected, are encouraged to participate, and are valued for their contributions.

Social Justice: We promote equity, justice, and anti-oppression in all aspects of our work and interactions.

Respect: We treat staff with dignity, acknowledge our differences, and celebrate the collective power of teamwork.

Leadership: We are focused on creating meaningful impact by working together and bringing out the best in each other.
