Past President Helena Hahn passes away

Past UWSA president Helena Hahn has passed away

HAHN, Helena (nee Kirstein) Passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016 at the age of 81. She spent most her career working in the Science Department at the University of Waterloo, and served as the UWSA President from 1988 to 1999. Helena grew up in South Africa and fled to Canada in 1962 to escape Apartheid.  She is survived by her husband Kish, her two daughters Michele (Dale) and Francoise (Tim), and her 5 grandchildren Samantha, Justin, Sophie, Jemma and Ava.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
