The Academic Programs Committee
The Academic Programs Advisory Committee (APAC) is a group that recommends new programs to the Provost at the University of Waterloo. The Provost then selects which programs to provisionally approve to move forward. APAC is accountable to the Dean's Council and the Provost, and makes their recommendations based on consideration of institutional priorities, financial risk, among other factors. The membership of the committee includes faculty reps, the Associate Vice-President, Academic, the Associate Vice-President, Graduate Studies and Post-doctoral Affairs, Strategic Enrolment Management, as well as administrative support for decision making.
