About the GenAI Teaching Enablement Project

The GenAI Teaching Enablement Project will help the university community build confidence and capability in using GenAI well in teaching. It will build on and expand the tools and guidance developed by the Standing Committee on New Technologies, Pedagogies, and Academic Integrity, while also creating new, practical resources for program design, course development, teaching, and assessment.

Guided by a steering committee with faculty representatives and delegates from support units across campus, the initiative is delivered by a project team from the integrated teaching support unit (ITSU) and Instructional Technologies and Media Services (ITMS), who will identify promising practices and tailor supports to different comfort levels (from hesitant to innovators), disciplines, and course formats (in-person, online, lecture, lab). Early work will include creating opportunities for experienced GenAI users to pilot new approaches and share what they learn with colleagues to help spread effective practices across faculties.
