Vevox site licence renewed for 2026–27
The University will proceed with a one-year renewal of the Vevox site licence, a centrally supported polling tool. Vevox will be available to students, instructors, and staff at no cost for the period from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. Vevox supports in-class and online engagement through live polling, quizzes, word clouds, and Q&A, helping instructors gather real-time feedback, check understanding, and increase participation in lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
Working towards a more streamlined EdTech experience
With the support of Deans and senior leadership, EdTech Governance members are collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to define an EdTech strategy to guide future funding decisions for educational technologies. This work will also address duplication of tools across campus, which can increase costs (for the institution or for students through additional fees) and is frequently raised by students as negatively affecting their learning experience. More information is available on the EdTech Evolution 2.0 project page.
