Astronomy on Tap is back in KW, so join us to sit back, relax, and learn about the Universe, while also having a couple of drinks and a bit of fun!

Galaxies are some of the most beautiful structures in astronomy, and come in lots of different types: intricate spiral galaxies like our Milky Way, compact dwarf galaxies, and violent mergers between multiple galaxies. However, many of the details about how they are born, live, and die remain a mystery.

This month we'll hear from two University of Waterloo astronomers, researching the evolution of galaxies. Cam Morgan will speak about how the cosmic neighbourhood of galaxies impacts their life cycles, and Cam Lawlor-Forsyth will share how astronomers are using super-computers to learn more about galaxies than ever before.

Doors at 7:15pm | 8pm start | 19+
