Barry Gilhuly finished his Master’s degree in the Autonomous Systems Lab in April 2020, and is continuing onto his PhD in the lab, which he started in Fall 2020. His research focuses on planning for cooperative coverage using a ground vehicle (UGV) and a drone (UAV).  

Barry completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 1993. After many years working in industry at companies such as Blackberry and Dejero Labs, Barry returned to study Systems and Controls at Waterloo Engineering in January 2018.

Barry has a diverse set of interests including running, competitive programming, and cultivating orchids.
