PhD Student, Western University

KURT LOEDIGE
Kurt Loedige is a third-year, direct entry Ph.D. candidate in Biochemistry at Western University. He completed his Bachelor of Medical Science degree with an Honors Specialization in Biochemistry of Infection and Immunity at the same institution. Loedige's primary area of interest lies in endonucleases as gene editing reagents, exploring potential alternatives to standalone CRISPR-Cas systems. His research centers around characterizing cleavage requirements and sequence preferences of uncharacterized nucleases for integration into dual endonuclease CRISPR-Cas systems.
