Biochemistry and molecular biology are two of the most exciting disciplines in modern science. At Waterloo, these are multi-disciplinary areas of research and education. They are key areas of focus in the Departments of Biology and Chemistry. Together, we operate a strong undergraduate program in Biochemistry; one of the flagship programs of our faculty. We have a large number of graduate students carrying out research in biochemistry and molecular biology.
The Biochemistry Program operates an exciting seminar series, affording a forum for research and pedagogical interaction in biochemistry and molecular biology for the entire Waterloo academic community. We foster collaboration, communication, and bring together a critical mass of scientists in biochemistry and molecular biology.
