Blackwell Consulting Guest Lecture on Mass Timber Construction

The Civil, Environmental & Geological Engineering Society invites you to come learn about mass timber from structural engineer Cory Zurell.

Cory is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Waterloo. His portfolio contains significant contribution to the timber industry, including structural work at St. Jacob’s Farmers Market, Erindale Student Centre, University of Toronto at Mississauga, and Schulich School of Business, York University.

Blackwell has offices located in Toronto, Waterloo, Halifax and Victoria. Blackwell excels at structural design of steel, timber, concrete and is the only firm in Canada to work in tensile (fabric) structures. Some of the notable projects include the Bentway - the ice skating rink constructed below Gardinar Highway, Toronto, and Google’s Kitchener-Waterloo office.
