Enabling more personalized, convenient and accessible health-care experiencesThe Care Next Coalition is a unique partnership between the Waterloo Regional Health Network (formerly Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital) and the University of Waterloo.
The coalition brings together clinicians, researchers and entrepreneurs to create educational programming, to test drive technological advances and to create integrated health care systems that will reach people where they are.
This work will enable more personalized, convenient and accessible health-care experiences achieved through cost-effective solutions that enhance efficiency and improve patient outcomes.

Innovation Challenge
The University of Waterloo and the Waterloo Regional Health Network are launching the Innovation Challenge to find innovative solutions that will transform patient care and improve emergency department (ED) flow in Ontario.
Non-profits and public entities, innovators and solution developers, technology companies, and interdisciplinary teams interested in healthcare optimization are invited to co-design and test innovative system-wide solutions in a carefully designed pilot, ensuring safety, feasibility and real-world impact that will transform ED flow.
